In December 2005, we Nikè and Geert-Jan, together with our daughters Iris and Lottie, became the new residents of Domaine la Chabanne. After a search of almost a year, we found this beautiful place in July 2005.

La Chabanne was built around 1500, and has fulfilled an important regional function for centuries. Together with Le Chatard and Sennepin, it was one of the largest farms in the region. Until about 1970, La Chabanne was still active as a farm. After that, the house was bought by a French family from Clermont Ferrand who used it as a summer residence.

In recent years, we have turned it, bit by bit, into a small-scale holiday accommodation where we enjoy living and working.
