You’ll find camping la Chabanne at Domaine la Chabanne. This renovated farm is situated approximately 5 km from the village Châtel-Montagne in the departement Allier, Auvergne.
We would like to welcome you at our 2.5-hectare domaine in the middle of the wooded area of Montagne Bourbonnaise.
…What used to be one of the largest farms in the area has been converted into small-scale holiday accommodation. Our goal: to give you an unforgettable stay with a great dose of enthusiasm and a sense of atmosphere!!

You can also enjoy a drink or an ice cream on the covered terrace. Our kitchen is open every evening from 6pm. We offer a small menu including various fresh pizzas, meal salads, quiches, steak fries and a children’s menu. We also organize barbecue evenings and/or ham on a spit.

Montagne Bourbonnaise
The Montagne Bourbonnaise is a mid-mountain range that starts at an altitude of 500 meters and ends at the top of the Puy de Montonçel at 1287 meters. The area offers plenty of opportunities for all kinds of sporting activities, both in summer and winter. For example, there are some beautiful climbing rocks in St. Nicolas des Biefs (10 minutes from La Chabanne).
Walking & Cycling
The forests of the Montagne Bourbonnaise invite you to long walks and challenging mountain bike rides. In winter, the mountains turn into an ideal winter sports area. There are numerous extensive cross-country ski trails and a ski station.

If you’re in the mood for art, culture, or a day of shopping, Vichy has a lot to offer. This lovely city is filled with architectural treasures and is often referred to as “little Paris.” Renowned for its hot springs, Vichy is home to several luxurious thermal baths in the heart of the city.
